Spicy Grapefruit Sidecar
Cognac, Cointreau and grapefruit juice shaken cold and served in a glass with a chilli-powder rim, so every sip starts with a little heat. Chewing Richberry halves first rounds out the grapefruit's sourness.

Ingredients

For the rim
- grapefruit wedge
- 2 tsp chilli powder
For the drink
- ice
- 2 oz cognac
- 2 oz grapefruit juice
- 1 oz Cointreau
- grapefruit slice, to garnish
- 2–3 Richberry halves
How to Make It
Rim the glass
Run the grapefruit wedge around the rim of a glass, then dip it into the chilli powder spread on a small plate, turning to coat.
Shake
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, add the cognac, Cointreau and grapefruit juice and shake until well chilled.
Strain and garnish
Strain into the rimmed glass and garnish with a slice of grapefruit.
Add the Richberry twist
Just before your first sip, chew 2–3 Richberry halves gently and let them linger for about 30 seconds. Discard any pit, then taste how the sour notes turn sweet.
Richberry changes the taste, not the drink: a cocktail may taste softer, but it is just as strong. Please enjoy it responsibly.
