Privacy Policy
How Richberry collects, uses and protects your personal information, in plain words.
The short version
- We collect only what we need to deliver your order, answer your messages and, if you ask, send you news.
- We never sell your personal information.
- We use one cookie, only to keep you logged in. We count visits to our pages without cookies and without keeping your IP address. No advertising or tracking cookies.
- Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your full card number.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
01 Who we are
Richberry is a trading name of MIRACU LEAN, Barangay Hiwacloy, Goa 4422, Camarines Sur, Philippines. We decide how your personal information is used, which makes us its “personal information controller” under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012.
For anything about your personal information, email info@richberry.ph.
02 What we collect
- When you order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing addresses, and what you bought.
- If you create an account: your name, email address, your password in scrambled (hashed) form that no one can read, and your order history.
- When you write to us: your name, contact details and what you tell us.
- If you join our mailing list: your email address and name.
- When you visit: like any website, our server briefly records technical details, such as your IP address, your browser and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.
- Visit counts: which pages are viewed, the website you came from, your type of device and browser, your country and language, and steps in the shop such as adding to the cart. A random code that changes every day lets us count visitors without knowing who they are. Visit counts never include your IP address or your name.
We don't ask for information we don't need, and we don't knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.
03 Cookies and your device
We use one cookie, and only when you log in or create an account: it keeps you logged in, for 24 hours or, if you tick “Keep me logged in”, for 30 days. It's deleted when you log out. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
A few things are kept in your own browser so the site works smoothly:
- your cart;
- the delivery details you enter at checkout, so you don't have to type them again;
- the currency you chose for showing prices;
- whether you're logged in, and a random code for your current visit, which is sent with our visit counts and cleared when you close the tab.
Your cart and delivery details reach us only when you place an order. You can clear all of these by deleting this site's data in your browser's settings.
04 How we use it
- to process, deliver and support your order, including returns and refunds;
- to email you about your order and your account;
- to answer your questions;
- to send our newsletter and offers, only if you've agreed (every email has an unsubscribe link);
- to see which pages are useful and improve the site, using visit counts;
- to prevent fraud and keep our website secure;
- to keep the records the law requires, such as for tax.
We use your information only for these purposes: because we need it to fulfil your order, because you agreed, because the law requires it, or for our legitimate interest in running a safe and reliable shop.
05 Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the shop, and only what they need:
- Stripe, which processes card and wallet payments (we never see your full card number);
- Cloudflare, which delivers our pages quickly and securely;
- our email provider, which sends order confirmations and other emails;
- couriers and postal services, which deliver your order.
We may also share information when the law requires it, for example with tax authorities, or to protect our rights. If our business were ever sold, your information would pass to the new owner under this policy.
06 Where it's stored
Our website and its database run on our own server in the United Kingdom. Stripe, Cloudflare and our email provider may process information in other countries, including the United States. We use established providers with strong security, and this policy applies wherever your information is kept.
07 How long we keep it
- Orders: as long as the law requires for tax and accounting records.
- Your account: until you ask us to close it.
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
- Messages: as long as we need them to help you.
- Visit counts: they don't identify you, so we may keep them.
After that, we delete your information or make it anonymous.
08 Keeping it safe
This website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and passwords are only ever stored in scrambled form. Only the people who need your information to look after your order can see it. If a breach ever put your information at risk, we'd tell you and the National Privacy Commission, as the law requires.
09 Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act, you can:
- be told how your information is used;
- see the information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it's wrong;
- object to its use, including for marketing;
- have it deleted or blocked;
- get a copy in a format you can reuse;
- be compensated if it's misused.
To use any of these rights, email info@richberry.ph. It's free, and we'll reply as soon as we can. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the National Privacy Commission.
10 Other websites
Our website links to others, such as our social media pages. They have their own privacy policies, which we don't control.
11 Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when the way we use information changes, and the date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we'll tell you.
