A frozen tiki-style drink built on whiskey instead of rum: bourbon or rye blended with pineapple, lemon, orange and almond orgeat over crushed ice. Fruity, with a nutty depth.

Ingredients

Showing the cocktail. Switch to Mocktail for the alcohol-free version.

  • 1½ oz (44 ml) bourbon or rye whiskey
  • 1½ oz (44 ml) fresh pineapple juice
  • ½ oz (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • ½ oz (15 ml) fresh orange juice
  • ½ oz (15 ml) orgeat
  • 6–8 oz (170–227 g) crushed ice
  • orchid, to garnish
  • 2–3 Richberry halves

How to Make It

  1. Blend

Put the whiskey, pineapple, lemon and orange juices and orgeat in a blender with the crushed ice. Blend until smooth and slushy.

  2. Pour and garnish

Pour into a goblet and top with the orchid.

  3. Add the Richberry twist

Just before your first sip, chew 2–3 Richberry halves gently and let them linger for about 30 seconds. Discard any pit, then taste how the sour notes turn sweet.

Richberry changes the taste, not the drink: a cocktail may taste softer, but it is just as strong. Please enjoy it responsibly.
