Ingredients

  • 1½ oz (44 ml) mezcal
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Cointreau or triple sec
  • 1 oz (30 ml) fresh orange juice
  • ½ oz (15 ml) fresh lime juice
  • ¾ oz (22 ml) hibiscus–habanero syrup
  • ice
  • lime wheel, to garnish
  • Tajín seasoning, to garnish
  • 2–3 Richberry halves

How to Make It

  1. Shake

Shake the mezcal, Cointreau, orange juice and lime juice with ice, then strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice.

  2. Sink the syrup

Pour the hibiscus–habanero syrup slowly down the inside of the glass so it settles at the bottom and forms an orange-to-red ombré.

  3. Garnish

Add a lime wheel and a light dusting of Tajín.

  4. Add the Richberry twist

Just before your first sip, chew 2–3 Richberry halves gently and let them linger for about 30 seconds. Discard any pit, then taste how the sour notes turn sweet.

Richberry changes the taste, not the drink: a cocktail may taste softer, but it is just as strong. Please enjoy it responsibly.
