Ingredients

Showing the cocktail. Switch to Mocktail for the alcohol-free version.

  • 1 oz (30 ml) white rum
  • ½ oz (15 ml) bonded apple brandy
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Cointreau
  • ¾ oz (22 ml) fresh pineapple juice
  • ½ oz (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ oz (7 ml) demerara syrup
  • ice
  • long lemon twist, to garnish
  • orchid, to garnish (optional)
  • 2–3 Richberry halves

How to Make It

  1. Shake

Add the rum, apple brandy, Cointreau, pineapple juice, lemon juice and demerara syrup to a shaker. Fill with ice and shake hard.

  2. Strain

    Strain into a chilled coupe.

  3. Finish

Twist the lemon peel over the drink to release its oils, then discard it. Add an orchid if you have one.

  4. Add the Richberry twist

Just before your first sip, chew 2–3 Richberry halves gently and let them linger for about 30 seconds. Discard any pit, then taste how the sour notes turn sweet.

Richberry changes the taste, not the drink: a cocktail may taste softer, but it is just as strong. Please enjoy it responsibly.

Mocktail (Non-Alcoholic)

Apple juice stands in for the apple brandy and keeps the drink's orchard note.
