Ingredients

- 2¼ oz (67 ml) cognac
- ½ oz (15 ml) Bénédictine
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- ice, ideally one large cube
- long lemon twist, to garnish
- 2–3 Richberry halves
How to Make It
Build or stir
If you have one large ice cube, pour the cognac, Bénédictine and bitters over it in an old-fashioned glass and stir 5 or 6 times. Otherwise, stir them with ice in a mixing glass and strain over fresh ice.
Finish with lemon
Express the lemon twist over the surface, run it around the rim, then let it sit in the glass.
Add the Richberry twist
Just before your first sip, chew 2–3 Richberry halves gently and let them linger for about 30 seconds. Discard any pit, then taste how the sour notes turn sweet.
Richberry changes the taste, not the drink: a cocktail may taste softer, but it is just as strong. Please enjoy it responsibly.
