Bowl of colourful mango salsa with red onion and cilantro, surrounded by tortilla chips, a cut mango and lime
Zesty. Juicy. Bright.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Roma tomatoes, diced
  • 1 ½ cups mango, diced
  • ½ cup onion, diced
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

How to make it

  1. Chop everything

Dice the tomatoes, mango and onion, chop the cilantro and mince the garlic.

  2. Mix the salsa

Put everything in a bowl with the lime juice, cider vinegar, salt and pepper and stir well.

  3. Chill before serving

Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour so the flavours come together.

The Richberry difference

A naturally brighter taste

Miraculin, the protein in the miracle berry, can make sour flavours taste sweeter for a while. The food itself stays the same; only your taste changes.

Tip

Choose a mango that gives slightly when pressed: ripe enough to taste sweet, firm enough to dice neatly.

Serve with

Tortilla chips for scooping, or spoon it over grilled fish, chicken or tacos.

Richberry tip

Just before you eat, chew 1–2 halves gently and let them linger for about 30 seconds. Discard any pit.
