Sweet moments, naturally.

Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cups heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 ¼ cups whole milk
  • ⅛ tsp fine sea salt
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract (or 1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise)
  • 2 cups add-ins such as soft brownies, cookies or blondies (optional)

Directions

  1. Warm the cream.

Pour 1 cup of the cream into a saucepan with the salt. If using a vanilla bean, scrape in the seeds and add the pod, then warm over medium heat.

  2. Chill the base.

Off the heat, stir in the remaining cream, the milk, and the vanilla extract if using. Refrigerate until cold.

  3. Churn.

Remove the vanilla pod, whisk in the lemon juice and churn in an ice cream maker following the manufacturer's instructions. Stir in any add-ins at the end.

  4. Freeze.

Transfer to an airtight container and freeze until you're ready to serve.
