Ingredients

Clementine syrup (makes about 1½ cups)
- 4 clementines, peeled and segmented
- 1 cup water
For the cocktails
- ice
- 3 oz clementine syrup
- 3 oz whiskey
- ½ lemon, juiced
- maraschino cherries, to garnish (optional)
- 3 oz Cabernet Sauvignon, to float
- 2–3 Richberry halves
How to Make It
Make the clementine syrup
Bring the clementines and water to the boil in a saucepan, then lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Strain through a fine sieve, pressing the fruit to extract as much liquid as possible, and chill until cool.
Shake
Fill 2 rocks glasses with ice and add a few cherries to each, if using. Shake the clementine syrup, whiskey and lemon juice with ice in a cocktail shaker.
Float the wine
Pour the whiskey mixture over the ice in the glasses. Slowly pour the wine over the back of a spoon held just above each drink so it floats on top.
Add the Richberry twist
Just before your first sip, chew 2–3 Richberry halves gently and let them linger for about 30 seconds. Discard any pit, then taste how the sour notes turn sweet.
Richberry changes the taste, not the drink: a cocktail may taste softer, but it is just as strong. Please enjoy it responsibly.

Mocktail (Non-Alcoholic)
