Tender. Savoury. Hearty.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz boneless pork roast
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2–3 whole wheat burger buns

How to make it

  1. Fill the slow cooker

Put the pork, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt and water into the slow cooker, keeping the buns aside, and cover with the lid.

  2. Cook the pork

Cook for 5–6 hours, until the pork is cooked through and tender, then shred it with two forks.

  3. Fill the buns

Split the buns through the middle, spoon in the pork filling and hold each sandwich together with a toothpick.

The Richberry difference

A naturally brighter taste

Miraculin, the protein in the miracle berry, can make sour flavours taste sweeter for a while. The food itself stays the same; only your taste changes.

Tip

For a change, make the filling with minced beef instead of pork.

Serve with

Tangy pickles, a crisp coleslaw or a simple green salad.

Richberry tip

Just before you eat, chew 1–2 halves gently and let them linger for about 30 seconds. Discard any pit.
