Chicken and Sausage Gumbo with Okra

A thick, spiced slow-cooker gumbo of chicken sausage, okra and brown rice in tomato, with ginger, garlic and cardamom. The tomato gives it the kind of sour flavour Richberry loves to play with.

The Richberry difference

A naturally brighter taste

Miraculin, the protein in the miracle berry, can make sour flavours taste sweeter for a while. The food itself stays the same; only your taste changes.

Tip

Not keen on okra? Use chopped broccoli instead.

Serve with

Serve it in deep soup bowls, with a crisp green salad or warm flatbread on the side.

Richberry tip

Just before you eat, chew 1–2 halves gently and let them linger for about 30 seconds. Discard any pit.
