Ingredients
Showing the cocktail. Switch to Mocktail for the alcohol-free version.
- 1 oz (30 ml) rye whiskey
- 1 oz (30 ml) apple brandy
- ¾ oz (22 ml) fresh lemon juice
- ¾ oz (22 ml) orange curaçao or triple sec
- ice
- long orange twist, to garnish
- 2–3 Richberry halves
How to Make It
Shake
Add the rye whiskey, apple brandy, lemon juice and curaçao to a cocktail shaker, fill with ice and shake well.
Strain over ice
Strain into a double rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
Garnish
Squeeze the orange twist over the drink to release its oils, run it around the rim, then drop it into the glass.
Add the Richberry twist
Just before your first sip, chew 2–3 Richberry halves gently and let them linger for about 30 seconds. Discard any pit, then taste how the sour notes turn sweet.
Richberry changes the taste, not the drink: a cocktail may taste softer, but it is just as strong. Please enjoy it responsibly.
Cheers to Bolder Flavours, Brighter Moments
A rye and apple brandy sour, reimagined with Richberry.
Mocktail (Non-Alcoholic)
Shake the apple juice with the lemon as usual; the expressed orange twist brings back some of the curaçao's aroma.
