Glass bowl of pineapple chunks, halved strawberries and blueberries on a white kitchen counter
Juicy. Tangy. Bursting with berries.

Ingredients

  • 1 large pineapple (about 4 lb) peeled, cored and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 lb strawberries, hulled and halved lengthwise
  • 1 pint blueberries

How to make it

  1. Combine the fruit

Put the pineapple, strawberries and blueberries in a large bowl and toss gently to mix.

  2. Chill and serve

Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Give the salad one more gentle toss just before serving.

The Richberry difference

A naturally brighter taste

Miraculin, the protein in the miracle berry, can make sour flavours taste sweeter for a while. The food itself stays the same; only your taste changes.

Tip

Cut the fruit up to a day ahead and chill it separately; combine an hour before serving so the strawberries stay firm.

Serve with

Brunch, picnics and barbecues, or spoon it over plain yogurt for breakfast.

Richberry tip

Just before you eat, chew 1–2 halves gently and let them linger for about 30 seconds. Discard any pit.
