Ingredients
Showing the cocktail. Switch to Mocktail for the alcohol-free version.
- 2 oz (60 ml) gin
- ¾ oz (22 ml) dry vermouth
- ¼ oz (7 ml) crème de violette
- absinthe, to rinse the glass
- ice
- long orange twist, to garnish
- 2–3 Richberry halves
How to Make It
Stir
Combine the gin, vermouth and crème de violette in a mixing glass with ice and stir until cold.
Rinse the glass
Pour a tiny splash of absinthe into a coupe, swirl it to coat the inside, then tip out the excess.
Strain and garnish
Strain the drink into the rinsed coupe. Squeeze the orange twist over the top, run it round the rim and drop it in.
Add the Richberry twist
Just before your first sip, chew 2–3 Richberry halves gently and let them linger for about 30 seconds. Discard any pit, then taste how the sour notes turn sweet.
Richberry changes the taste, not the drink: a cocktail may taste softer, but it is just as strong. Please enjoy it responsibly.
Cheers to Bolder Flavours, Brighter Moments
A violet-tinged martini, reimagined with Richberry.
Mocktail (Non-Alcoholic)
Only the orange twist survives, so pour chilled tonic into the coupe and express the peel over it; the quinine gives a dry, bitter edge.
