Ingredients
- 4 green apples, cored and quartered
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 (2.25 oz) package blanched slivered almonds
Directions
Cut the mouths.
With a small, sharp paring knife, cut a lengthwise wedge from the skin side of each apple quarter. Leave the peel around the opening to look like lips.
Stop the browning.
If you like, rub the cut surfaces with lemon juice so they don't turn brown.
Add the teeth.
Push 5 or 6 slivered almonds into the top and bottom edges of each opening to make snaggly teeth.
